We are INZIRA IKWIYE FILM EDUCATION PROJECT,

Started by 6 students in School of Finance and Banking (SFB) as follows:

Eric SEKANYANA,MISAGO Wilson,NTWARI Patrick,IYAKAREMYE Eric in January 2008, in February new members came in. Now we are 16 members.

Project Gender Balance:  Females: 45%

                               Males:     55%

Idea generation.

During 2008, we were just in break time at University, after a long discussion about social entrepreneurship in Rwanda and else where,we found out that some variables are still neglected in the society especially on awareness of social matters.Therefore we took an initiative to conduct a research regarding whether the population really understands some social concepts such as Gender based balance, effective children behaviors, HIV/AIDS, Poverty reduction generated from the parents who do not care about savings for their children but also we conducted reasurch on how business is done in Rwanda and found out that some Services are neglected such as customer care,culture of mediocrity at workplace. In addition to that we found out the negative impact of relative employment and corruption are more increasingly at workplace,in both rural and urban areas.Thereby we have got some indicating figures which show that still there are some weaknesses up on which needs reaction through Educating Films through which learning is easy because people put much attention on watching films rather than reading, listening or other educating means.

MISSION and  OBJECTIVES

MISSION

INZIRA IKWIYE FILM EDUCATION exists to help Rwandan Society to escape Social current problems using the Film shows and conducting forums. Furthermore we are expecting to expend our project in Eastern African Region so to share the effectiveness of improving society using the most powerful way as Film Education,basing on the experiences got in Rwanda

OBJECTIVES

To expand delivery of our services into the wide country starting from rural areas  and  New areas in Urban by 2011.

To improve Rwandan society life style by introducing counseling offices, making and showing educational movies focusing on: Gender base balance, avoiding corruption, negative impact of relative employment, maintaining the Rwandan legacy, avoiding bad sexual behavior, have good family relationships, avoiding culture of mediocrity at work place (customer care and quality service delivery). The project will serve the Rwandan society promotion and interest in order to have good life style, which are not properly preserved with the existing projects. All of these to overcoming the population turnover problems and to build new brand of Rwanda.
